Spinal Cord Stimulators

One of the many treatment options that HealthSpine provides is the use of a Spinal Cord Stimulator to treat chronic pain for people suffering from neuropathy or who have had a failed back surgery. A Spinal Cord Stimulator is a neuromodulation device that utilizes small electrodes that send electrical impulses to the spinal cord in order to relieve chronic pain. A trial period utilizing temporary electrodes is first used to see if there is any reduction in pain. If there is, permanent electrodes may be implanted and the Spinal Cord Stimulator is programmed to deliver electrical impulses to the spinal cord.
